Florence: The sandwich

One of the delights of not following a tourist map or book. Discovering places. Yes, there are pitfalls like getting lost, cold, tired and just downright frustrated, but then, there are things called pleasant surprises.

I Due Fratellini, a tiny hole-in-the-wall sandwich place that was smothered with raves from international food critics, magazines and websites. Not to mention the line of people waiting for a small, modest sandwich with a glass of wine, right in the middle of a busy street.

It doesn’t take a whole lot of space to offer good food, apparently. It was a bit tricky to hold my glass of wine, sandwich, map, bag, camera AND umbrella all at once, but once I took a bite, life was good again.

사람이 너무 많아서 이건 먹어봐야겠다 하고 기다려서 먹었는데 ‘_’  빵 하나만으로도 샌드위치 예술의 경지에 오를 수 있구나. 그래 문제는 빵이었다. 빵만 맛있으면 마요네즈만 발라도 맛있을 것을…
